Overview
Designed with employability in mind, this programme provides practical computing knowledge as well as information management skills that will transform students into highly sought-after assets. Graduates will be able to create and sustain technically proficient business information systems while also demonstrating a keen understanding of the role of IT in supporting the business functions of any industry.
About the Programme
The Business Information Systems degree programme comprises a blend of business practices and information technology, designed to promote innovative problem-solving abilities as well as foster cutting-edge business and IT skills in students. This 3-year course encompasses a comprehensive curriculum that is injected with various business and computing courses that will undoubtedly equip students with a unique repertoire of knowledge and skills in managing and developing IT systems in the business context. Throughout their studies, students will be exposed to a cross-cultural learning environment supervised by a team of dedicated academic professionals and staff. Teaching and learning methodologies are supported by well-equipped facilities and resources within the campus, such as the library, computer laboratories, R&D laboratories and the latest IT gadgets. Apart from that, students are able to collaborate with key industries through co-operative placements every year with the purpose of gaining industry experience in business and IT companies whilst increasing their employability skills. Furthermore, partnerships with renowned corporations such as Apple, RICOH and Oracle, among others, ensure that courses remain relevant in the face of change. Students are also granted opportunities to be awarded with professional certifications by numerous international software corporations.

Entry Requirements
Foundation: Minimum CGPA of 2.0
STPM: Minimum 2 principals (C) (CGPA 2.0) in 2 subjects and pass in Mathematics and English at SPM Level
A-Level: Minimum 2 D's in 2 subjects and pass in Mathematics and English at SPM Level
UEC: Minimum 5 credits (B6), including Mathematics
National Matriculation: Minimum CGPA of 2.0, inclusive of a minimum Credit (C) in Mathematics at SPM
International Baccalaureate (IB): Minimum score of 26 points in 6 subjects and minimum Credit (C) in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/equivalent
Canadian Pre-U: Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects, inclusive of minimum 60% score in Mathematics and minimum Credit (C) in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/equivalent
Diploma/ Advance Diploma/ equivalent: Minimum CGPA 2.0 (inclusive of Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics/Physics)(Admission level: case - to - case basis)
AUSMAT/HSC/SACE/TEE/WACE/SAM: Minimum average of 60% in 5 subjects, inclusive of minimum 60% score in Mathematics and minimum Credit (C) in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/equivalent
Australian Year 12: Credit (C ) in Mathematics subject
Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Minimum overall average of 60%, inclusive of minimum 60% score in Mathematics
