Overview
The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Actuarial Studies program at Sunway University is a four-year degree program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of actuarial science. The program is designed to prepare students for a career in the actuarial industry.
Entry Requirement
STPM: Average C+ or CGPA 2.33 (minimum 2 Principals)
A-Level: Minimum 12 points (Minimum of Grade D from 2 subjects)
Australian Matriculation: ATAR 60
Canadian Matriculation: 60%
Monash University Foundation Year: 60%
Sunway Foundation in Arts: CGPA 2.0
Sunway Foundation in Science Technology: CGPA 2.0
Unified Examination Certificate: Maximum 26 points from 5 subjects (all Grade Bs)
International Baccalaureate: Completed with minimum 25 points (excluding bonus points)
Sunway Diploma Studies: CAVG 50% or CGPA 2.0* Students may obtain advanced standing if credit transfer requirements are met.
Other Qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications. Applicant with no standard qualification will be considered on a case-to-case basis

Total credit hours: 122
Core modules include Probability Theory, Financial Mathematics, Life Contingencies, and Statistical Methods.
Elective modules include Risk Theory, Time Series Analysis, and Investment Analysis.

Graduates are eligible to pursue professional actuarial qualifications such as Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS).
